The boxing star is taking on Joseph Parker on Saturday evening, looking to unify the WBA, IBF and WBO heavyweight titles, which Fury claimed in his victory over Wladimir Klitschko in November 2015.
Ahead of Saturday’s fight, Joshua irked the former champion, who has been stripped of his belts due to inactivity since that night in Dusseldorf.
“One fight doesn't define us - if it did, I would be sitting back on the throne after my Klitschko fight,” Joshua told Sky Sports.
“But I've got to keep on going. And if you take a hiccup in your career, that shouldn't define you either.

“From my 16th fight when I challenged for the world title, every fight has been a championship fight and something to remember.
“This fight [against Parker] is very significant - it is history.”
The pair have shared verbal sparing matches in the past, with boxing fans desperate to see a match-up between the two.
“I opened the division up for all these heavyweights to have world titles,” Fury told Sky Sports earlier this month.
"Joshua has been doing a good job of polishing my belts, keeping them nice and warm.”

Fury was scheduled to fight Klitschko in a rematch in 2016, but it was postponed twice due to injuries sustained by the champion.
He then had to regain a boxing licence due to a failed drugs test, but is now getting into shape with trainer Ben Davison.
The fighter is expected to be back in action this year, in a bid to eventually regain the belts of which he was stripped.
