Forest fire breaks out in Khambha

Rajkot: A major fire broke out at the forest of Salava Dhar area of Mota Barman village in Khambha taluka of Amreli district on Monday afternoon.

The fire was reported at 1pm. Forest department officials and locals rushed to the site and tried to douse the flames.


However, the fire continued to rage at the time of going to the press. Foresters said that the forest has a pride of six lions, several leopards and herbivorous animals like deer and blue bulls.
