Temperatures in mid-Michigan are expected to hit the mid-50s this week, though winter weather may show up just in time for Easter Sunday.

Sunshine and highs right around 50 degrees Monday come with wind gusts up to 25 miles per hour, according to the National Weather Service.

Warmer temperatures bring a 90 percent chance of rain Tuesday, as highs are predicted to hit 53 degrees.

Wednesday and Thursday may be rainy as well, with temperatures hovering in the mid-50s, according to the forecast.

Temperatures are expected to drop below 30 degrees Thursday night, bringing a slight chance of rain and snow through the overnight.

A wintry mix could return Friday, with the forecast calling for a slight chance of rain and snow showers and high temperatures in the mid-40s.

The week is expected to end colder than it began, with temperatures Saturday —the last day of March— hitting just 40 degrees.

The first day of April brings with it a chance of rain and snow along with Easter Sunday highs of 39 degrees.
