CM to undergo second phase of treatment from today

PANAJI: The second phase of treatment for Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar will start from March 26 at a medical institute in the US.

Parrikar telephonically spoke to  Speaker of the state  legislative assembly Pramod Sawant on Sunday and provided this information.

Later, Sawant told ‘The Navhind Times’ that the Chief Minister also received updates on general and administrative matters.

“He also told me that he would be starting with the second phase of treatment from tomorrow,” Sawant informed, pointing out that Parrikar has appealed to the people of Goa not to believe in rumours about his health as spread by vested interests.

The Speaker further said the Chief Minister is presently at a

New York residence and would be going to the medical institute on Monday  for second phase of treatment.

“His health has improved and he is carrying out all normal activities,” Sawant mentioned

Meanwhile, the Chief Minister’s Office has stated, “It has been observed that many messages are floating on social media, attributing it to the CM’s authorship. Such messages are not authentic and mischievous. All messages of CM@manoharparrikar will be communicated directly by him or through his verified social media handles only.”
