 In Jammu & Kashmir, a terrorist was killed in an encounter with security forces in Budgam district of Central Kashmir late last evening.
A police official told AIR that on the basis of specific information, police, Army and CRPF launched a joint cordon and search operation in Khan Mohalla Arizal under Beerwah Police station.
The official said, during the operation, a group of terrorists started firing indiscriminately on security forces. In retaliation, one unknown terrorist was killed whose identity is being ascertained. A woman was also injured in the incident. Arms and ammunition have been recovered from the site.
