The high-waisted, wide trouser is everywhere, partly due to its leg-lengthening magic. However, most of us will need a decent heel. Colour-wise, winter whites have moved into khaki (much easier). The paper-bag cut thankfully looks good with a low heel or flat and, having tried my pear-shaped, non-trouser-friendly figure in them, I can confirm they’re more flattering on than off. Clash a red pair with 
a pink top: this colour combination is here to stay.
