For those who adore fresh and authentic Greek Easter bread, cookies and pastries, the annual Greek Bake Sale takes place from 9 a.m. until it’s all sold on Saturday, March 31 at the Holy Cross Greek Orthodox Church, 3804 Seymour Road.

The traditional fair is prepared by eight Greek ladies including Salt and Pepper restauranteur, Eleni Moshtaghi. Items include Greek Easter bread (tsourekia), baklava, koulouria, spanakopita, dolmathes and other freshly made items.

Moshtaghi recommends people order ahead by calling (940) 704-4125 to ensure their choices. Everything sells out quickly, she said, of the favorite community event that dates back over 50 years.

For those who want to catch a Greek lunch, gyro sandwiches, French fries and tzatziki sauce will be served starting at 11 a.m.

All proceeds from the Greek Bake Sale go to support the maintenance of the church.
