Along with the rest of the world, Nagaland is celebrating Palm Sunday today, commemorating Jesus Christ’s triumphal entry into Jerusalem.
It marks the beginning of the Holy Week and always falls on the Sunday before Easter Sunday.
Many churches across the State are holding special Palm Sunday services.
In the morning, some churches organized Processions, portraying the Passion of Jesus Christ, which refers to Jesus’ suffering prior to his trial and execution.
Many churches in the State were also decorated with Palm branches as a symbol of peace and victory.
