BJP today said Narendra Modi App provides a platform for millions of his fans and party cadre to connect directly with the Prime Minister. It said the App is ‘one of its kind’ which enables unprecedented engagement and interactivity with Mr Modi.
Reacting to Congress President Rahul Gandhi's allegations that through Modi App, data of users is being shared with foreign companies, BJP said the fact is that the data is being used for only analytics using third party service, similar to Google Analytics. It said analytics on the user data is done for offering users the most contextual content.
In a series of tweets, BJP said the App gives access to users in ‘guest mode’ without even any permission or data. It clarified that the permissions required are all contextual and cause-specific. It said this ensures that a user gets the best experience by showing content in his language and interests. A person who looks up agri-related information will get agri related content easily.
