Runners of both the 5-kilometre race and the 30-kilometre race crossed the start lines Sunday morning to take part in the Around the Bay road race that's in its 124th year.

Ross Proudfoot of Peterborough took the men's 5-kilometre race, crossing the finish line at 00:14:36 and Gladys Tarus from Toronto finished first in the women's category at 00:17:46.
There were 3,921 participants in total for the 30-kilometre race and 2,227 participants in the 5-kilometre race.
286 people took place in the two-person relay and 277 in the three-person relay.

Survived (and did well) at #atb2018. Ran pretty even splits and only walked to eat my chews (and to avoid dying on the last hill). Hurray for a new PR! #teamawesome2018 #frontlineraceteam pic.twitter.com/zoQNuKAEJ3
