Have you ever wanted to become a hunter and take down monsters? Here’s your chance to do this virtually. The final game in the Monster Hunter series, World features various races and fascinating open-world ‘ecosystems’ or locations such as Ancient Forest, Coral Highlands, and so on, teeming with wildlife. The player takes the role of a hunter who is part of a research commission that studies monsters in Astera, the Commission’s base of operations. The attributes of the player’s character depend on the equipment the character is equipped with, such as a bow, hammer or long sword. The combat moves are determined by this. Players can choose to take up different quests in the story mode or play online in a cooperative mode. It has been published for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Microsoft Windows.

Sea of Thieves

Publisher: Microsoft Studios

Genre: Action-adventure

Developed by Rare, this is a pirate-themed multiplayer game played from a first-person perspective. If you have been inspired by Captain Jack Sparrow and have been wanting to try out the life of a pirate, this will give you a close enough experience. It involves exploring an open-world through a pirate ship while taking up various roles such as firing cannons, hoisting sails, steering, and so on. During the game, players collect loot, engage in combat with other players and embark on various quests. The map of the game is stunning and engaging. Players can choose from three fractions — Merchant Alliance, Order of Souls and Gold Hoarders. This has been released for Xbox One and Microsoft Windows.

A Way Out

If you’ve been looking for an action-adventure game that you can play in a split-screen mode with your friends, look no further. Played from a third-person perspective, A Way Out can be played with another player either online or through local play. The story revolves around prison inmates Leo and Vincent who get together to plan an escape. The inmates are controlled by two players and the story is revealed simultaneously by both. The two players can approach each situation differently by the need to coordinate with each other in order to progress. The game has been released on Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
