VADODARA: City-based
Parul University (PU) has entered into academic collaborations with educational institutes in
Russia including the Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia (RUDNU), Saint Petersburg National Research University of Information Technology, Mechanics and Optics (
ITMOU) and
Moscow Power Engineering Institute (MPEI).
PU’s president Dr Devanshu Patel had recently visited Moscow and St. Petersburg in Russia to explore opportunities for students exchange in the form of summer school programs, short term programs, semester exchange, dual masters degree, joint degree, twinning degree, research and collaborative work on projects.
“We have added to the university’s list of International partners by signing up MOUs with ITMOU, RUDNU and MPEI. As part of this collaboration, our first group of students will be attending a two weeks summer school at ITMOU in the month of April,” said Patel.
“We will also be sending students from aeronautical engineering, chemistry, pharmacy and agriculture disciplines to RUDNU in the month of June for six weeks summer school. The collaboration can later be extended to faculty exchanges aiming improvement and advancement in the teaching methodologies,” he said.
“We are expecting support of Government of Russia for mutual exchanges of students, teachers and research projects with Russia,” said Patel, who during his visit also met officers from the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of Russia.
