KATHMANDU: Tribhuvan Army Club defeated Bishal Milan Kendra 111-92 in a high-scoring match of Kwik’s Basketball League on Friday.
Unbeaten TAC were seven-point behind after two quarters but they bounced back strongly in the third period winning it 39-12 and that made all the difference in the final result. TAC’s Sadish Pradhan top scored with 34 points, while Rabin Khatri netted 23. Ayush Singh (18) and Binod Maharjan (14) also scored in double figures.
Bikash Gurung scored 33 points for BMK. In another match, South Siders Basketball Club beat Xavier International College 69-57. Sanjay Byanjankar Jr of SSBC scored 18 points, while Rabin Gautam netted 15. Ajay Kushwaha of Xavier scored 13 and Ashish Basnet netted 11 points. With their 12th straight victory, TAC are certain to finish at the top of the table with 36 points, while Golden Gate, BMK and Himalayan Hounds have 24 points apiece. — HNS
