The Madras High Court today reserved orders on a plea from Tamil Nationalist Movement leader Pazha Nedumaran, seeking return of his books, allegedly seized by police for his support to Tamil Eelam (separate tamil state).
Last week, the First Additional Sessions Judge had said if the books were circulated, it would disturb the minds of the readers and the peace and tranquility of the public.
Hence, the books would not be returned to Nedumaran, the judge had said.
Nedumaran was arrested in 2002 for publishing books supporting Eelam and released in 2007.
