And talking about preparations, Wriddhiman Saha, who will ply his trade for the defending champions Sunrisers Hyderabad in IPL 2018, seems to have got his preparations going underway really well.

Saha, who was picked by SRH for INR 5 crore in the 2018 IPL auction, hit a blistering 20-ball 102-run knock for his team Mohun Bagan in a JC Mukherjee Trophy match against BNR Recreation Club in Kalighat.

Saha, opening the batting with skipper Subhomoy Das (43* off 22) was in terrific form, hitting as many as 14 sixes and four fours en route to his amazing knock.

"I could feel from the first ball that I was able to hit the ball in the middle and I went for it," Saha, who loves to open the batting in limited overs cricket, told reporters after the match.

"Not sure of this being a record, but looking into the IPL, I tried to play different shots and it worked."

The Indian Test specialist scored at a strike-rate of 510 as Mohun Bagan chased down a total of 151 in just seven overs in the T20 contest.

Even though Saha plays only Tests for India as of now, the Bengal player is by no means one-format player. Saha has played 164 T20 games at the domestic level and has 2718 runs to his name at a strike rate of 130.73, scoring one hundred (115*) and 14 half centuries.

In the IPL, Saha has represented Chennai Super Kings, Kolkata Knight Riders and Kings XI Punjab playing 104 matches scoring 1557 runs.

He is the first and only player so far to score a century in an IPL final. Unfortunately, his team KXIP lost the game, the 2014 IPL final to Kolkata Knight Riders.
