A plasterer was rushed to hospital suffering from serious injuries after he fell a height of three storeys while carrying out works at a site in Valletta on Saturday morning.
The injuries sustained by the victim, a foreign national, are not yet known.
Witnesses said the incident happened around 10.15am in Old Theatre Street after the victim is believed to have plunged from an apartment entrance to the service lift.
The blood-splattered tiles could be seen at the entrance to the building.
Health and safety assessed the building where construction works were taking place.
