Students debarred in Vijayapura, Kalaburagi

As many as three students were barred from writing the SSLC examination paper on Friday in Vijayapura and Kalaburagi districts.

In the first case, a student was debarred on the charge of leaking the question paper in Muddebihal town of Vijayapura district.

The supervisor was also removed from exam duty.

The action was taken after copies of the question paper were found in a open area in the town on Friday.

Investigation revealed that the student had sent the question paper outside with the help of one of his friends.

Meanwhile, another student of Government High School of Jamkhandi in Bagalkot district was debarred after he was found to be copying in the exam.

In Kalaburagi, a student was debarred after he allegedly clicked a photograph of the question paper on his phone and forwarded it through WhatsApp at Government High School Centre in Afzalpur town in Kalaburagi.

The student clicked the photo within 30 minutes of the start of the examination and forwarded it.

Deputy Director for Public Instructions Shantgowda Patil said that stringent action would be taken against the invigilator if he was found to involved in any malpractice.
