Alfred Guy "A.G." Duncan Alfred Guy "A.G." Duncan, a resident of Stuarts Draft, Va., passed away on Wednesday evening, March 21, 2018, at Augusta Health. A son of the late James and Georgia (Martin) Duncan, he was born on November 5, 1928, in Nelson County. A lifelong cattleman and dealer, he was co-owner of Phenix, Victoria, and South Hill Stock Yards. Mr. Duncan was a member of Adial Baptist Church in Nellysford. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, David Duncan; daughter, Diane Duncan Smith; and four brothers, J.V. Duncan, Byrd Duncan, Nick Duncan, and Norman Duncan. Surviving are his wife of 64 years, Betty Ann "Ralph" Duncan; sons, Danny Duncan and his wife, Jill, of Wylliesburg and Duane Duncan and his wife, Faith, of Raphine; four grandchildren, Jessica Kempo, Jacob Duncan, Casey Duncan, and Rebecca Kim; six great-grandchildren; sister, Ginger Harvey; and very dear friends, Walter Dunnington and Cindy Colvin. The family received friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Friday evening, March 23, 2018, at McDow Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 24, 2018, in the chapel of McDow Funeral Home, officiated by Pastor Kevin Goertzen. Interment will follow in Augusta Memorial Park.
