Students of the University Law College in Bengaluru lifted the champions trophy in the fifth international law moot court competition held at the Karnataka State Law University (KSLU) at Navanagar here.
JSS Law College of Mysuru stood second, while Sheshadripuram Law College in Bengaluru won best memorials. Nishreeyas M V of V V Pura Law College, Bengaluru (best gentleman advocate), and Preksha R Lalwani of Bishop Cotton Women's Christian Law College, Bengaluru (best lady advocate) won individual prizes.
Kerala High Court former chief justice S R Bannurmath delivered the valedictory address, and he advised the students to always expect the unexpected questions from the Judges, and to give quick and clever responses to such questions.
Experience is a hard teacher which gives the test first and result later. Challenge yourselves and enhance your skills of argument with research, for success in the profession of law, Justice Bannurmath added.
Law Department special secretary H K Jagadish also spoke.
KSLU acting vice-chancellor C S Patil presided over the function. Dr Ratna Bharamagoudar, Dr G B Patil, and others were present.
