Travel And Tour World: Share your plans and strategies for Rajasthan tourism in 2018.
Pradeep Kumar Borar: Rajasthan has many places to visit. The government of Rajasthan is focusing on tourism which gives a big economic boost We are stressing on media strategy aggressively, promoting tourism products in a big way and developing new destinations.
We want to promote Rajasthan in such a way that people who already came to our state should visit again. For this we are focused on developing and promoting the lesser known destinations, which you can say the offbeat tourist places.
Travel And Tour World: What is you marketing strategy to promote Rajasthan in Europe?
Pradeep Kumar Borar: Actually our target area is Europe, we focus on countries like United Kingdom, France, Germany and Spain, United States from where we receive more tourists.
We are advertising and promoting our tourism products in a big way in these countries so that people get to know about Rajasthan and visit us.
Travel And Tour World: Can you mention some exciting tourism destinations in Rajasthan?
Pradeep Kumar Borar: There are so many exotic destinations in Rajasthan with innumerable forts, palaces and temples. Most of the known destinations in our state are Jaipur, the Pink City, Jodhpur, Amer (known for Amer fort) and Udaipur. We want to promote some lesser known destination categories like Kumbhalgarh which is popular for the presence fortified wall. It is the second longest wall in the world after China’s Great Wall. There are other lesser known places like Garadia Mahadev, Machkund in Dholpur, Jaisalmer, deserts and Ranthombore for dense and deep forest (Ranthambore Wildlife Sanctuary). Rajasthan has a variety of places that can be visited. Last but not the least Rajasthan’s authentic cuisine, hospitality, tradition and culture also attracts tourists.
