TN CM confident that those who left AIADMK will return to fold

Press Trust of India  |  Chennai

K Palaniswami today expressed confidence that those who had left the AIADMK "under some illusion " would return to its fold and help fulfil late Jayalalithaa's dreams.

"Amma's children who had gone in a different directions under some illusion will certainly return to their mother's house," he said.

Though he did not mention anyone, he apparently referred to those supporting sidelined party leader T T V Dhinakaran, who has been critical of the government.

In his address at an event organised to mark the achievements of one year of his party led government, Palaniswami said they would return and help fulfil Jayalalithaa's dream, apparently referring to delivering good governance.

The pointed out the government' stand on constituting of the and Cauvery Water Regulatory Committee and expressed hope that the Centre would set them up.

In an apparent dig at actors and for their political ambitions, he said people were closely watching the victory steps of the AIADMK and knew 'whose face was genuine and whose face had make-up and is fake."

He also listed out the various achievements in the last one year, including in industry and the farm sector.
