LUCKNOW: A 65-year-old woman was found dead in mysterious circumstances under a bed in her home in
Jankipuram on Thursday evening. Blood was oozing out from her nose and ears.
Police termed it a natural death but failed to explain how she was found under the bed.
The deceased was identified as
Sushila Singh. She had been living alone in Lucknow for the past 19 years after the death of her husband. She lived alone on the upper floor of her two-storey house in Sector F of Jankipuram and had rented out five rooms on the ground floor to students. Her only child,
Robin Singh, is an engineer in Delhi. Robin told police that one of the tenants informed him on Thursday morning about his mother Sushila's death. Robin arrived in the city on Thursday evening. "When I entered the house I found my mother lying dead under a bed in her room. Blood was oozing out from her mouth and nose," said Robin.
Inspector Jankipuram PK Jha said
Sushila had told a tenant on Wednesday that she was not feeling well. The tenant gave her some medicines. On Thursday morning, the tenant went upstairs to give her tea but found her dead. He then informed Robin."
Police did not allow mediapersons to talk to Robin. ASP trans-Gomti Harendra Singh said Sushila probably died of brain haemorrhage.
SSP
Deepak Kumar said they were waiting for the autopsy report to know the cause of death.
