HETAUDA: Chief Minister Dor Mani Paudel has asserted that Hetauda hospital is set to provide Intensive care unit and kidney dialysis services in near future.
CM of province 3, Paudel said so while inspecting the hospital in the district today.
CM also directed the hospital administration to forward process for acquiring necessary equipment’ for running ICU and dialysis services.
Hetauda hospital chairman Ramesh Giri said “Due to lack to funds and adequate manpower the hospital was unable to run ICU services”.
In coordination with the Rotary Club of Makwanpur, two dialysis machines would be acquired for providing kidney dialysis services in the hospital, according to medical superintendent Dr. Kamal Dawadi.
He further said ICU service is a pre-requisite for running dialysis service in the hospital. Dr. Dawadi also added that more doctors and nurses would be required for the same.
On the occasion, CM Paudel held discussions with hospital chairman Ramesh Giri, medical superidendent Dr. Kamal Dawadi, Dr. Hari Bahadur Khadka, Rotorary Club of Makwanpur chairperson Puran Bahadur Joshi, Makwanpur Chamber of Commerce and Industries Krishna Katuwal and among others.
Meanwhile, the hospital is planning to increase its capacity up to 300 beds in near future.
