Snooker genius! Mark Williams somehow pots incredible red at Players Championship
MARK WILLIAMS added to the list of incredible shots played at the Players Championship with a ‘plant to end all plants’ on Thursday night.
Fresh off Ronnie O’Sullivan’s superb long red the night before, Williams stepped up to the baize to show off his own cue skills.
The Welshman was leading Ryan Day 5-3 in their Players Championship quarter-final when faced with a tantalising pot.
Four reds were roughly lined up, with the cue ball staring down the near left pocket.
And Williams decided to take on the pot with the frame still in the balance.
As this incredible World Snooker video shows, Williams sent the fourth red into the pocket with ease.

He also left himself on for a blue before eventually sweeping up the frame and the match.
And fans on Twitter were rightly gushing over the incredible shot.
One fan wrote: “I've not seen a plant that good since I went to Kew Gardens.”
Another put: “Fantastic tournament in Wales so far, any snooker I've seen has been entertaining. That's the shot of the tournament for me.”
And a third said: “The mother of all plants :-)”
World Snooker themselves said: “The plant to end all plants??”
Here at Express Sport we certainly think so!
