If you have yet to nominate your workplace for this year's Top Workplaces program, it's not too late.
The deadline, originally March 23, has been extended to April 20.
The Top Workplaces program identifies organizations that excel at organizational health and employee engagement. The News Journal, in partnership with Energage, offers a free assessment through a simple, scientifically sound and anonymous employee feedback survey.
The News Journal is gathering information to assist local companies in achieving their employment goals to keep jobs in the state. Workers leaving Delaware reduces the need for goods and services, impacting everyone in the state.
So far, 75 Delaware companies have signed up to take this year’s Top Workplaces survey. Companies will be surveyed through May.
Any organization with 35 or more employees in Delaware is eligible to participate. Those organizations can be public, private, nonprofit and government.
Workplaces are evaluated by their employees using a short 24-question survey. Companies will be surveyed between March and May. The first deadline is March 23.
The results from the Top Workplaces survey can help assess the health of companies. They validate achievements, reveal problem areas and set a foundation for new goals.
Getting into the survey process is simple. Companies, employees, customers and others can nominate an organization by visiting www.delawareonline.com/nominate, or by calling (302) 342-1311. Nominated companies will be contacted by representatives from Energage to get the process under way.
Energage, formerly WorkplaceDynamics, conducts Top Workplaces surveys for 40+ major metro newspapers and has reached more than 14 million employees from 40,000+ organizations through its employee engagement platform, Top Workplaces program, and workplace improvement solutions.
Last year, The News Journal surveyed 83 organizations and recognized 60 groups combining for more than 31,000 workers as among the state's top workplaces. Nearly 13,000 employees filled out surveys.
