The Portuguese boss signed Sanchez in January and the club handed him wages of around £500,000 a week.
That saw him overtake Pogba and David de Gea as the top earners at Manchester United.
And Sanchez’s poor form and struggles with adapting has led to fears about the pairs’ state of mind.
Sanchez this week spoke of his struggle at adapting and problems at his new club.
While Pogba has appeared relieved to join up with his international side.

Didier Deschamps reflected that he could not be happy with the situation with his game-time dramatically decreasing in recent weeks.
And the Telegraph claim Mourinho is now in a full-on battle to repair the problems at the club.
United remain in second place in the Premier League but being dumped out of the Champions League by Sevilla in the last 16 has brought about the feeling of crisis.
And it is mainly down to the struggles of the two most high profile players at the club.
Mourinho is preparing for a summer rebuild job and despite vowing not to buy any more attackers it remains to be seen where Sanchez and Pogba are left are the summer.
Some suggestions have already been made that Sanchez could be set for a quick exit while Pogba’s agent has apparently been offering him around Europe.
And the Luke Shaw situation has added more strain to United’s predicament.
Mourinho’s public berating of Shaw has opened him up to more criticism with many calling him a bully and questioning his character.
But while Shaw’s future looks set - in that it will be away from Old Trafford - Mourinho’s biggest issue looks set to be what to do with Sanchez and Pogba and how to get them both firing again.
