ಮೇಲುಕೋಟೆಯ ವೈರಮುಡಿ ಉತ್ಸವದ ಮೊದಲ ದಿನ ಶುಕ್ರವಾರ ಚಲುವನಾರಾಯಣಸ್ವಾಮಿಗೆ ಪೂಜೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಲಾಯಿತು

ಮೇಲುಕೋಟೆಯ ವೈರಮುಡಿ ಉತ್ಸವದ ಮೊದಲ ದಿನ ಶುಕ್ರವಾರ ಚಲುವನಾರಾಯಣಸ್ವಾಮಿಗೆ ಪೂಜೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಲಾಯಿತು

The annual Vairamudi utsav of Cheluvanarayanaswami in Melkote will be held on March 26.

The deity, adorned with diamond-studded crown will be taken out in a procession as part of the event.

The rituals for the 10-day Vairamudi jatra mahotsava began on Friday. The Rajamudi utsav and Teppotsava will be held on March 30.

Deputy Commissioner N Manjushri said that necessary arrangements have been
made for accommodating lakhs of devotees who arrive at the temple town for the annual event.

The Vairamudi and Rajamudi will be brought from the district treasury in Mandya on March 26 amid tight police security.
