A 22-year-old student was stabbed to death by a few unidentified men in the small hours of Thursday in north-west Delhi’s Netaji Subhash Place, the police said.

DCP (North-West) Aslam Khan said that the victim, Mohit, a resident of Pitampura, was taking a course on computer graphics at a private institute. A PCR call was received at 1.15 a.m. stating that a man had been stabbed in Netaji Subhash Place. After reaching the spot, the cops found that Mr. Mohit had already been taken to a hospital by his friends Robin and Lalit. “He was stabbed multiple times and succumbed to injuries within an hour at the hospital,” said Ms. Khan. The victim had come to Netaji Subhash Place with his friends around 12.30 a.m. A group of boys arrived a few minutes later and both the groups had an altercation. “The accused from the other group stabbed Mr. Mohit. They threatened Mr. Robin and Mr. Lalit but fled when the duo raised an alarm,” said Ms. Khan.

A murder case has been registered, Ms. Khan said adding, “It appears to be a case of enmity. The accused’s identity is being ascertained. The motive is unclear as the friends are no cooperating,” she said.
