Laxmanchanda police of Nirmal district on Friday arrested five teachers and officials of a private school and a businessman at Laxmanchanda for their alleged role in ‘leakage’ of SSC question paper. The Physics question paper was allegedly leaked out of the exam hall from the Krishnaveni Talent School exam centre.

According to Khanapur CI Ashok, the police was tipped off even as some of the accused were writing answers on chits to be circulated among candidates. They were caught in the act when the police reached the exam centre.

The modus operandi was to take a photo in the cell phone camera and send it to the businessman who passed it on to the teachers of the school. The accused — Krishnaveni Talent School physical director S. Gangadhar, School in charge S. Ravi Kumar, Physics teacher E. Sayanna, owner of a general store T. Ramana Prasad, school principal G. Rajender and correspondent G. Srinivas — were booked for cheating and malpractice in exams.
