A scintillating kathak performance was presented by exponent Shalini Khare before the Bhopalites on Thursday. She presented Kathak at Regional Science Centre auditorium.
An event ‘Taal Chakra’ was organized by Indian Council for Culture Relations (ICCR), Bhopal chapter on Thursday. Shalini Khare from Jabalpur was invited to perform at the event.
She began the series of her performances with Devi stuti.
Then she performed Shiv Tandava. The Shiv Tandava enthralled the audience and gave goose-bumps while the artists were performing.
The Shiv-tandava portrayed the story where Sati sacrificed her life and to express the sadness and grief on the death of Sati, Lord Shiva performed tandava.
It was a mesmerizing performance given by Shalini.
The performance was followed with Darpadi Cheer Haran. It was a horrific sight where the men tries to tear apart the dignity of a woman. The teary eyes and anger on her face,
Shalini depicted the terrible situation Draupadi had faced. With perfect body language and beautiful expression, it was power pact performance by Shalini.
