BJP says, Congress used data-mining firm Cambridge Analytica during Gujarat elections |
The BJP has rejected the allegation that it had taken service of data mining firm Cambridge Analytica in the past. Briefing reporters in New Delhi, senior party leader and Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad said it is not true that the party had links with this firm.
He also questioned the Congress why it maintained conspicuous silence for the last five months over the media reports about opposition party’s plan to use the firm's services for the next Lok Sabha elections and to boost its President Rahul Gandhi's profile.
Mr. Prasad alleged that it has been cleared from the pattern that the Congress had used the service of Cambridge Analytica during recent Gujarat Assembly polls. He also alleged that Mr. Gandhi's entire social media campaign has been managed with the help of the firm.
