Strictly Come Dancing 2018 line-up: Coronation Street star sets sights on Kevin Clifton
STRICTLY COME DANCING 2018 is set to hit screens on BBC later this year, and despite an official line-up yet to be announced, one former Coronation Street actress is already setting her sights on taking to the dance floor with professional dancer Kevin Clifton.
Hayley Tamaddon, 41, who has starred on Coronation Street and Emmerdale, revealed that despite her Strictly Come Dancing dream, she is yet to be asked to appear on the show, but said it’s something she would love to do “before she gets older”.
Speaking exclusively to Express.co.uk, she said: “I would love to, before I get any older, go on Strictly. I would love to be partnered with Kevin Clifton because he’s amazing.”
Since competing on and winning rival ITV show Dancing On Ice in 2010, she hasn’t been approached by the Strictly producers.
When asked if she had been offered to do the highly-anticipated show, she replied: "I haven’t actually and I think it might be because I did Dancing On Ice and maybe they think, she can dance, but I’ve never done Ballroom in my life."

Despite Hayley suffering a back injury during her time on Dancing On Ice, it hasn’t put her off of dancing for good.
“I’d give it a go, I can’t bend down to the floor anymore but I can easily give it a go,” she continued.
Hayley’s desired dance partner Kevin Clifton and his wife Karen announced their last week.
Speaking on Chris Evans’ BBC Radio 2 breakfast show, Kevin said that the former couple would continue a professional working relationship but are no longer together.
He said: “Privately we are not together anymore but professionally we are stronger than ever before.

“Dance is how we came together and is what glues us together.”
The couple, who are both professionals on the BBC show, have been married for three years and also have an upcoming tour together.
Earlier this week, the twosome appeared on TV following their split announcement.
Speaking on BBC Breakfast, the former couple explained to host Dan Walker that they had decided to open up about their marriage amid ongoing speculation that their relationship was in crisis.
He told the host: “Because there has been so much speculation it’s best to just be honest with everyone and not be scared of it really.

He added: “Privately our situation has changed, but professionally we’re still dancing together and stronger than ever really.”
Les Dennis recently revealed that he would also love to join the Strictly Come Dancing line-up.
When quizzed on This Morning about the show, he said: “[The BBC] approached me when I was in Coronation Street and when you’re there you just can’t do it.
“It’s a blanket no for everyone on the soap.”
He later added: “I would love to do Strictly Come Dancing!”
