EastEnders spoilers: Kat Moon FINALLY returns with heartbreaking Alfie bombshell
EASTENDERS fans were in absolute turmoil earlier this evening after Kat Moon made her long-awaited comeback. Although the occasion was generally a happy affair, tonight's episode was tinged with sadness at the discussion of Alfie Moon.

EastEnders viewers were previously told that Kat (played by Jessie Wallace) had died.
However, it was all a hoax by Big Mo (Laila Morse) who wanted to use her "death" as an excuse for a fundraiser.
The legendary Slater's secret was exposed earlier tonight after she confessed to her sins.
However, when Kat sat down to talk with cousin Stacey (Lacey Turner), talk turned to Alfie (Shane Richie).

Stacey asked where her partner was, and Kat’s mood instantly changed.
“He’s in Spain with the kids… We’re having a break,” the returning character explained.
Kat added: “The last three years we’ve had, I’m surprised we didn’t top each other.
“You play the cards you’re dealt,” she explained.

It seems this isn't the end of Kat and Alfie, however.
Just yesterday, Shane revealed he would actually be returning to EastEnders after all.
A source told The Sun he would commence filming in a couple of weeks, despite flat-lining in spin-off, Redwater.
They added: “With Kat’s comeback the writers knew viewers would ask when Alfie would be back too, so they’ve managed to convince Shane to return.

“It won’t be long-term but he’ll play a role in a number of storylines in the coming months.”
Elsewhere on the exciting instalments, Stacey stunned viewers as she revealed a bedroom secret about Martin Fowler (James Bye).
She revealed the pair had “grief sex” when they thought Kat was dead.
