CEDAR RAPIDS — Former Linn-Mar prep Marcus Paige scored his first points in the National Basketball Association as his Charlotte Hornets beat the Memphis Grizzlies, 140-79, Thursday night at Charlotte.

Paige was recalled earlier Thursday by the Hornets from the Greensboro Swarm of the G-League. This was his second NBA game, and he scored nine points in 12 minutes.

He made 3 of 6 field-goal attempts, including going 1 of 2 from 3-point range. He also added a rebound, two assists and ended with a plus-minus rating of plus-6.

The former North Carolina star played one game earlier this season for Charlotte, going scoreless in three minutes.
