Inbound flows from European countries such as Germany, France, Spain, Ireland and Romania have increased steadily with arrivals from the US and Australia experiencing rapid growth.’’
As British tourism is all gearing up to support itself for yet another record year this time, ‘The British Tourism & Travel Show’ have started at the NEC Birmingham on 21-22 March respectively. The trade show will provide an enticing quick look into the products of new tourism and campaigns that the main industry players and tourism boards are preparing them to introduce this year. Also, the show will highlight a widespread keynote programme with all the experts of the industry and celebrities like the legendary TV pioneer, Angela Rippon, talking about her fascinating travel experiences.
With time, number of tourists visiting the British Isles has grown significantly; travel businesses are now interested in diversifying their offerings by continually developing fresh new programs that has the power to captivate the attention of visitors. Side by side, destinations are also launching new themes, endorsing the main attractions that they have to offer.
To quote Boutsioukou, “For instance, Visit Scotland is promoting the ‘Year of young people for 2018’. The country is promoting events, activities festivals and suggested road trips for young people, but also those who are ‘young at heart’. Tourism Ireland has also launched a new campaign called ‘Wild Atlantic Way’ promoting the longest coastal drive in the world, as well as numerous other activities taking place across six regions in the country. As for Wales, they celebrate the ‘Year of the Sea’, also promoting three new national coastal routes through the castle country and mountainous regions”.
