In a top-level re-jig, the board of Sundram Fasteners Limited (SFL) has decided to appoint Arathi Krishna as the managing director of the company. Currently, she is the joint managing director of the company. She will take up the new assignment on April 20.
The decision follows the imminent retirement of Suresh Krishna as the managing director of the company on April 20. Mr. Krishna, however, will continue to be a director and non-executive chairman of the board.
The board has also decided to re-designate Arundathi Krishna as the joint managing director of the company. She will assume the new role on April 20. Ms. Arundathi Krishna is currently the deputy managing director of the company.
These re-designations are significant as they sort of formalise the change-over to generation next at SFL. Mr. Krishna will continue to provide the guidance in his capacity as the non-executive chairman of the company.
