In Lohardaga municipal election for the post of chairman congress candidate Anupama Bhagat, BJP candidate Manorama Ekka, AJSU candidate Shushila Kujur and independent candidate Mamta Ekka filed their nominations on Wednesday.
For the post of vice chairman BJP candidate Om Prakash Singh, independent candidate Rajeev Ranjan, JVM candidate Balmukund Lohra, independent candidate Vimalkant Singh, Congress candidate Rauf Ansari, independent candidate Nikhil Kumar, Kishun Mahto and 57 candidates for ward councilors also filed their nominations. Before it Congress candidate Anupama Bhagat, BJP vice chairman candidate Om Prakash Singh and AJSU candidate Shushila Kujur prayed at temples, mosques with many supporters.
Congress candidate Anupama Bhagat said, “I came in this field for the full fledged development of the city, foir this I need the support of the public.”
BJP candidate Om Prakash Singh said, “Lohardaga municipality came into existence in 1888 and its history is glorious. If the public would support I serve for them. In the hustle bustle of nominations chiefly the MLA Sukhdeo Bhagat, chairman of Mati Kala board Srichand Prajapati, ex MLC Praveen Kumar Singh, municipal chairman Pawan Ekka and many people of several apolitical groups and officials were present.
