‘Injustice 2’ Shaders Missing? Players Report Bug After Latest Update
The Legendary update for Injustice 2 adds a ton of new content and goodies for players, but it seems it has also deleted shaders from some.
According to player reports on the Injustice 2 subreddit, the latest 1.17 update has locked shaders from being equipped from their inventory. NetherRealm Studios Community Manager Tyler Lansdown has commented on the Reddit thread, confirming the issue and promising to relay the message to the team. Hopefully, this means a fix is in the works to restore shaders in Injustice 2.
We have reached out to NetherRealm for official comment on the issue and will update as soon as we learn more.
Shaders are color options that can be found and purchased in the Customize Character section in the game. Those affected by the bug say their previously unlocked colors for characters have become unavailable. These cosmetic options are normally bought with in-game currency or pulled from Mother Boxes, Injustice 2 ’s rewards system.
Unfortunately, this isn’t the first time something like this has happened in Injustice 2 . In September 2017, the version 1.10 update deleted gear for some players after downloading the patch. NetherRealm Studios took note of this bug and sent out word it was working on a fix.
NetherRealm released another update immediately following version 1.17, but the Injustice 2 1.18 update only seems to include some general bug fixes.
