Minister of Food Processing Harsimrat Kaur Badal has urged all the state governments to join hands and help improve the income of farmers by actively participating in the Pradhan Mantri Kisan SAMPADA Yojana.
In an exclusive interview to All India Radio, she said more than five lakh direct and indirect jobs will be generated through this scheme.
Ms Kaur also invited women to participate as entrepreneurs in various sub-schemes of this critical scheme for the farmers.
The minister also highlighted the huge potential of food processing that can be tapped through this scheme.
