COLVA: The
Benaulim electricity sub-station has finally erected an electricity pole and shifted the sagging low tension cables that had been tied to a coconut tree to the pole.
TOI had published a story on Saturday highlighting the utter negligence of the officials of the Benaulim sub-station, who had turned a blind eye to the fact that sagging low tension live wires along the main road in Benaulim, which had been tied to a coconut tree as a stopgap arrangement, continued to remain suspended from the tree for months together.
In spite of complaints from villagers that the wires were posing danger to the villagers and the motorists, officials had refused to address the issue.
