The Virginia High School League released its all-state boys and girls basketball teams for Class 2 Thursday afternoon.

Robert E. Lee's Jarvis Vaughan was named to the first-team on the boys side, while Buffalo Gap's Leah Calhoun earned first-team all-state in girls basketball. 

Lee's Jayden Williams got a spot on the boys second team and Wilson Memorial's Sarah Sondrol landed on the girls second team.

Gate City's Mac McClung was named Class 2 boys player of the year following his team's state championship win over Lee High on March 9. His coach, Scott Vermillion, was the Class 2 coach of the year. 

Ridgeview's Bailey Frazier is the Class 2 girls player of the year and Central-Wise's Robin Dotson is the Class 2 girls coach of the year. Wise beat Buffalo Gap in the state championship game on March 9. 

East Rockingham's Dalton Jefferson also earned a spot on the boys Class 2 second team all-state.
