3 crime incidents in 72 hrs rock Sahibabad

Three major crime incidents during last 72 hours have shaken Sahibabad. On Wednesday armed criminals tried to kill a salesman at a medical store. Two unidentified motorcycle borne criminals shot at a sales man allegedly in a case of mistaken identity at Dev Medical store in Sahibabad. 

Police said two assailants armed with pistols barged into medical store and asked the name following which they opened indiscriminate firing on him before he could reveal his identity. The sales man, who was identified as Babloo Bhati, sustained three bullet injuries, was rushed to a nearby Ambe Hospital. 

Babloo was alone at the medical store during the incident. But locals told police that they wanted to kill one Mudit alias Monu Bhati over a land dispute.  But in hurry they shot at a Babloo by mistake and fled the spot. The locals further told, police said, that they fired at least six shots. Later the injured person was referred to a Delhi hospital with three bullet injuries. 

"Let him gain consciousness then only we can confirm whether they targeted  him or it is  a case of mistaken identity", said ASP Anoop Kumar Singh

Earlier on Tuesday bike borne criminals had thrown acid on a woman posted with Punjab National Bank ( PNB). Apart from the woman, six  persons traveling in an auto rickshaw sustained burns and were admitted at a nearby hospital.  The injured were identified a woman (23), Jai Chand, Kamla, Anil Tyagi, Anshu and Rahul. 

Earlier on Monday last, unidentified armed robbers in police uniform looted 10 kilogram gold biscuits from a Mumbai based Jeweler in Ghaziabad. The police said, Rohit Jain the owner of Union Jewelers & Gems (Private) Limited Mumbai was returning from Meerut after showing the samples of gold biscuits to Meerut based jewelers. 

"Police teams have been formed and we are working on the leads to identify all those involved in all the three cases, Anoop Kumar Singh, ASP, Sahibabad said.
