MOTIHARI: Challenging the concept of child-friendly teaching-learning activities in school, principal-cum-managing director of
Delhi Public School (Jubilee), Motihari, Rahul Gupta, allegedly tied a Class VI student Sachin to a pillar on the school premises and thrashed him mercilessly on Tuesday after he was caught stealing a question paper from the school’s office.
A video of the principal beating the student also went viral on social media on Wednesday.
The principal also abused and thrashed his wife
Nisha Gupta, who is a teacher in the same school after she tried to rescue Sachin. She has been admitted to Motihari sadar hospital in a critical condition.
Nisha has lodged a complaint with the Chhatauni police station in Motihari on Wednesday. In her complaint, she has mentioned that Rahul tied Sachin to a pillar for several hours and thrashed him brutally. She tried to intervene but he didn’t stop and later abused and thrashed her also after she reached home. “He even tried to strangulate me saying that he does not like any intervention in his style of functioning,” said Nisha.
Sachin is a hosteller and his parents are yet to be informed about the incident .
