Large companies are publishing their gender pay gap figures: Here's what you need to know

The Government has introduced legislation requiring all UK companies employing at least 250 people to publish statistics revealing their gender pay gap, or lack thereof.

Companies will also have to publish figures showing what proportion of their top paying jobs are held by women and the proportion of men and women that receive bonuses.

The exercise is part of an effort to promote gender equality in the world of work - something that the Telegraph is championing in relation to start-up funding for women-led businesses.

The deadline for submission to the Government Equalities Office is 30 March 2018 for public sector employers and 4 April 2018 for private and voluntary sector employers, with figures...
