Vincennes (IN), led by Ty Gadsen's 23 points, eliminated Florida SouthWestern from the NJCAA National Tournament 76-68 Thursday night in Hutchinson, KS.

The Buccaneers (30-3) trailed by as much as 13 in the first half before closing the margin to trail only by six at 32-26 at the break behind seven points each from Tremell Murphy and Charles Manning, Jr.

Florida SouthWestern cut the Vincennes lead to two on a handful of occasions, the final time coming at the 5:12 mark at 55-53 after a pair of free throws from Manning, Jr., who paced the Buccaneers with 20 points.

Anthony Murphy connected on two of three free throws to draw Florida SouthWestern to within 65-62 with 1:31 remaining, but Gadsen would hit a 3-pointer with the shot clock winding down on the ensuing possession put the Trailblazers back up six and Vincennes would close out the victory.

Florida SouthWestern only attempted eight 3-pointers for the entire game and made just two from behind the arc, and only got two second-half points from Tremell Murphy as the Buccaneers' leading scorer finished with nine points.

ShanQuan Hemphill scored 15 points and Tyler Cheese added 14 points and nine rebounds as the Buccaneers reached the quarterfinals in their first trip to the postseason in program history.

Isaiah Tisdale scored 19 points for Vincennes (34-1), who advanced to play College of Southern Idaho in the semifinals.
