Albany

While a number of well-known restaurants won't be open this Sunday during the NCAA women's regional in Albany, officials from the Downtown Albany Business Improvement District and Discover Albany have put together a sizable list of those that will.

About half the three dozen establishments within walking distance of the Times Union Center will be open on Sunday. They include Albany Pump Station, Cafe Capriccio, Jack's Oyster House, V&R Italian Restaurant, and Wellington's, in the Renaissance Albany.

Fans also will have a broad choice of pubs and other casual dining spots, including City Beer Hall, Excelsior Pub, Hill Street Cafe, Johnny Rockets, McGeary's Irish Pub, Merry Monk, Olde English Pub & Pantry, Pearl Street Pub, and Pizzeria Sapienza.

There's also Lam's Chinese Kitchen, Stack's Espresso Bar, and even a Subway.

By Sunday, it's likely the teams that were eliminated on Saturday and their fans will have headed home. The remaining two teams will face off at 7 p.m. Monday at the Times Union Center. The winner will head to finals in Columbus, Ohio the following Friday.
