What gets your vote for worst road in Manitoba?

Expect it to be all a-Twitter over the coming weeks…  or a hashtag hayday to be more accurate.

Members of the public have been asked to use #MBWorstRoads in the annual CAA Manitoba Worst Roads campaign for 2018.

Motorists, pedestrians and cyclists across the province are all welcome to vote for the roadway they believe to be the worst.

Votes will be collected on the automobile association website and on the Facebook app through until midnight on April 18.

Last year, a section of road off Highway 6 north of Ashern Man., received the highest number of nods.

More than 700 roads were nominated in 2017 by more than 8,400 Manitobans, which was a new record.

CAA said the physical condition of the road is not the only criteria they want input on. People can nominate a thoroughfare for any of the following issues:

• traffic congestion
• potholes/crumbling pavement
• timing of traffic lights
• pedestrian/cycling safety
• poor road signs or road markings

It is the seventh time CAA has run the campaign.
