AgriTalk: Trump's Trade Tariffs, The Omnibus, and...Cow Intestines?
AgriTalk Host Chip Flory Focuses on DC for today’s show, with a fun break at the end of the program looking outside the US. Guests today cover the Omnibus spending bill, with an emphasis on 199A; the steel and aluminum tariffs, and Japanese beef demand. In the first segment Chip talks with Paul Neiffer of Clifton Larson Allen and Jim Wiesemeyer about the 199A fix, and takes a look at the Omnibus spending bill as a whole. In segment two he talks to Dave Burger with KCOE ISOM to get a good idea of what the tariffs will look like when they are officially in place. Then to end out the show he talks with Greg Hanes with the US Meat Export Federation about Japanese beef demand. They recently were part of an event hoping to gain more interest in the Japanese market...which includes a couple dishes most Americans wouldn't touch.
