BETHEL — State Rep. Will Duff, R-Bethel, read to Rockwell Elementary School students Tuesday as part of the Read Across America initiative.
In honor of Dr. Seuss’ birthday, Duff joined in the nationwide celebration by reading to the kindergarten students in Ms. Callahan class.
“I had a terrific time reading to Ms. Callahan’s class today for Read Across America,” Duff said in a release. “Celebrating reading is so vital for our children and such a significant part of their learning.”
Read Across America, started by the National Education Association in 1998, is the country’s largest celebration of reading.
