The Dancing On Ice finalist, who has played Coronation Street’s Sophie Webster since 2004, addressed the Eva Price star’s exit, following her announcement back in December.
Speaking to the latest issue of OK! Magazine, the 25-year-old said there was one big thing that the 34-year-old did behind-the-scenes that she’d not be sad to see the back of.
Brooke started: “I see her all the time outside of work so it won’t affect our friendship.”
The soap star, who has worked with Catherine for almost seven years, continued: “We share a dressing room and she’s very messy, so I won’t miss that!

“Cath is lovely friend to me. I really trust her opinion so I’m always turning to her for guidance.”
During her chat with the publication, Brooke was also asked about Kym Marsh’s previous remarks when she said she felt maternal towards her.
Addressing the statement from Michelle Connor’s alter ego, she went on: “Kym, Cath and Sally [Dynevor, aka Sally Webster] are like mums to me, they’re very protective.
“I play up to it quite a lot - I ask them to stroke my hair and get them to look after me.”

Brooke then added: “They’re like mentors too, I’m always asking them for advice. I’m very lucky to have such a talented group of ladies to watch and learn from.”
The reality star’s comments come just days after she explained all about the Kean Bryan engagement drama that started just after Christmas.
The couple, who have been dating for two years after meeting through mutual friends, said an innocent Instagram snap was completely blown out of proportion.
Brooke admitted that the footballer had taken a selfie, making it look like she was wearing a band on her engagement finger.

However, the piece of jewellery was actually given to her by her mum and walking down the aisle was far from their thoughts.
Meanwhile, Brooke also broke her silence on the Jake Quickenden Dancing On Ice jibe that she made moments after he triumphed.
“First the worst, second the best… Are you sure it’s not a fix?” she quipped to host Phillip Schofield at the time.
But she has since insisted: “Jake is very similar to me so he totally understood that it was a joke. He was the better skater, there’s no way I deserved to win over him.”
